Coastal Wine Tour Visits Alabama’s Beaches

The Southern Breeze Coastal Wine Tour blends premium wines, gourmet food and Gulf Coast culture for an entertaining and educational experience you will long remember. Even better, this annual event visits several Gulf Coast destinations throughout the year.
The 2005 Coastal Wine Tour kicks off in Orange Beach, a popular vacation getaway located between the sugar-white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and Alabama’s beautiful back bays.
The tour continues in October in Rosemary Beach, Florida, an upscale community in Florida’s Beaches of South Walton area.
The Coastal Wine Tour packs several enticing events into one fun-filled weekend that will appeal to knowledgeable connoisseurs as well as fledgling wine aficionados.
At the Winemaker Dinners on Friday night, top regional chefs are paired with renowned winemakers to create an unforgettable culinary experience. These limited seating dinners take place in luxurious settings where the chefs and winemakers discuss their presentations as they mingle with dinner guests.
Saturday brings the Grand Wine Tasting. This event takes place at SanRoc Cay, an open-air market located just steps from Alabama’s white-sand beaches. Wine experts from around the world pour more than 150 wines. Guests sample new vintages, learn from the experts and can even purchase their favorites to take home. Informative seminars highlight wine and food topics, including cooking demonstrations by some of the Gulf Coast’s best chefs.
Saturday’s excitement continues with the Jazz Concert, which takes place at beautiful Orange Beach Waterfront Park. Sip under the stars as a jazz band plays into the night. Mingle with friends and wind down along the water’s edge.
Sunday brings the Bayside Walkabout Brunch, also at Orange Beach Waterfront Park. Stroll the grounds and sample delicacies from local restaurants as wine experts pour champagnes and sparkling wines to compliment each tasting.
