Restaurant EVE-opening in December

Irish born Chef; Cathal Armstrong, (Silent T) formerly of Bistro Bis -Washington DC and Meshelle Armstrong have created Restaurant Eve, a sophisticated bar, bistro, and fine dining restaurant to cater to Alexandrians and Washingtonians. The 130 seat restaurant offers two distinct dining experiences “The Chef’s Tasting Room” and “The Bistro”.

The 32 seat “Chef’s Tasting Room” is Cathal Armstrong’s culinary showplace, with 5 and 9 course prix-fixe tasting menus which change daily, composed of seasonal, local produce and superior ingredients enhanced by Armstrong’s innovative vision and classic culinary skill. Pampered by “Silver Service” guests enjoy tableside presentations and gracious, knowledgeable service. A farmhouse table displaying daily artisinal cheeses is centered below a whimsical chandalier with custom furnishings in rich, warm woods and fabrics gracing the ‘Tasting Room’s’ interior. The “Chef’s Tasting Room” will be available for private dining, special occasions and intimate events.

“The Bistro” and Bar are an upscale ‘neighborhood’ venue seating up to 90 guests in a warm, comfortable lounge, brick fireplace dining room and provincial garden terrace. Here the menu is designed to please the palate and soothe the soul, with Chef Armstrong’s family-inspired dishes and a focus on the best of the local farmer’s markets. Troy Farm, located in Westmoreland county, will grow products according to Armstrong’s specifications

Restaurant Eve is a family affair…Meshelle Armstrong, a veteran restaurant manager will handle the marketing and special events. Eve Armstrong, Cathal and Meshelle’s 4 year old daughter lent her name to the project.
