Pizza Inn Names New Vice President of Development and Vice President of Brand Management; Two New Key Positions Core to Corporate Turn-Around Strategy
THE COLONY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2006-- Pizza Inn Inc. (Nasdaq:PZZI) has named a new vice president of development and vice president of brand management. Darrell Smith was named vice president of development, and Danny Meisenheimer has been promoted to vice president of brand management. The two executives will work closely together to address issues of systems and processes that will impact the brand and ultimately encourage growth.

Smith will have ultimate oversight of site selection, construction of new company units, franchisee selection and the design program of new and remodeled units. Meisenheimer will ensure that opportunities in every Pizza Inn unit leverage the brand's foundational messages of freshness, tradition and hospitality.
The vice president of development position brings the sophistication needed to further engage and refine new processes and systems, maintain and oversee design and compliance issues and spearhead the development of Pizza Inn's new concept stores.
The vice president of brand management position presents an opportunity to address the needs of the organization through the brand in everything the customer experiences, finding unique ways to tell the Pizza Inn story.
Smith, a former Group Director of Development Services for Whataburger with about 25 years in the engineering, construction and retail industries, has been tasked with improving the longterm success rates in Pizza Inn restaurants.
Meisenheimer, formerly vice president of marketing for Pizza Inn and a 15year veteran of the restaurant and retail industry, will ensure that customers see the brand message in every aspect of the Pizza Inn experience through culture, concept design, packaging, promotion and advertising working closely with Smith and other members of the Pizza Inn team. The development of the new concept is at the forefront of Meisenheimer's brand strategy in addition to marketing Pizza Inn's points of difference within existing stores and markets.
