Outside the Lines, Inc announces launch of Online Sexual Harassment Prevention & Training Classes, specifically designed for the Wine & Hospitality Industry
Outside the Lines Consulting (OTL) has launched an Online Sexual Harassment Prevention & Training Class to further assist companies that wish to come into compliance with Assembly Bill AB 1825. This online training is in addition to the onsite training that OTL has provided to date and was created specifically to aid the training of managers and supervisors that may be restricted from attending in-person seminars, for whatever reason, but often due to the scheduling conflicts the industry imposes.
OTL’s e-learning course content was created by Holly Seaton, PHD in conjunction with 360 Training technology, to address the needs of the wine and hospitality business and the unique situations that impact both the issues of employees and employers.
“The toll of sexual harassment is costly both emotionally and financially” says Seaton. “Organizations may not be aware of situations and policies that may impact this issue. Educating employees about the current laws regarding sexual harassment and toxic workplace issues is not enough. Employees put preventive knowledge into everyday practice when they have learned about the consequences of sexual harassment through a variety of educational experiences that make it pertinent to their work-life.”
All employers who do business in the state of California and who have more than 50 employees must now provide Sexual Harassment training to all supervisors and managers as a result of AB 1825. Subsequent training must also be repeated every two years. All newly hired or promoted managers must be trained within six months of assuming the supervisory position.
OTL’s online course meets the requirements of the new California law, but is an important tool for any hospitality business in assuring a respectful workplace. The course content not only meets, but exceeds the qualifications specified by the new law.
