OCEANBOY FARMS TO DEBUT HEALTH-CONSCIOUS PRODUCTS AT BOSTON SEAFOOD SHOW
Heart-Smart and Sushi-Grade Shrimp Take Center Stage

(Clewiston, Florida…February 27, 2006) Recognized as a leader in environmentally-positive methods of shrimp farming with its closed-containment production of organic shrimp, OceanBoy Farms, Inc. is now gaining attention for its scientific breakthroughs. OceanBoy will unveil four new types of shrimp at the upcoming International Boston Seafood Show (IBSS), the second largest seafood industry event in the world, held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from Sunday, March 12, to Tuesday, March 14, 2006.

The recent establishing of OceanBoy Farms’ Michael Warner Aquaculture Research & Development Center has allowed the company’s shrimp farming experts to develop three new shrimp products, with more on the way. “We’ve created the next generation of shrimp products with taste and health in mind,” says Steve Walton, president and COO. “By committing our time and resources to aquaculture research, we’ve been able to bring desirable products to the market and to the table.”

- Heart-Smart organic shrimp
With the growing numbers of health-conscious consumers in mind, these shrimp are lower in cholesterol and higher in omega-3s and omega-6s and vitamins A and E.

- Sushi-grade, head-on organic shrimp
OceanBoy has met the strict Japanese microbiological standards for eating raw shrimp and now, in addition to sending it to Japan, will also supply this product in the U.S. It can be shipped fresh within 24 hours of harvest anywhere in the U.S. from July through November or frozen in the off-season.

- Fresh, never-been-frozen, organic shrimp
This is the only U.S.-grown organic shrimp shipped fresh within 24 hours of harvest to anywhere in the U.S. from July through November.

In response to the overwhelming restaurant demand for larger sustainable shrimp, OceanBoy Farms has found a partner in southern Texas, which will allow them to also offer Fresh Texas Whites. These shrimp are all-natural, fully-sustainable jumbo cocktail shrimp raised from OceanBoy’s own specific pathogen-free post larvae and nauplii (the free-swimming first stage of shrimp larva). They are grown according to the strict environmental and health standards developed at OceanBoy’s Florida facilities, resulting in the only U.S. grown sustainable shrimp of this nature available to restaurants. It is available both fresh in-season and frozen year-round.

Media and retailers can look forward to sampling heart-smart and sushi-grade product, along with OceanBoy’s original environmentally-positive organic shrimp free of antibiotics, preservatives, hormones and chemicals, at OceanBoy’s IBSS booth #1309. OceanBoy’s founder and chief science officer David McMahon; Steve Walton, president and COO; and Jack White, senior vice president of sales, will be available for meetings to discuss their aquaculture research and new products. Please direct all media requests to Jo Lipstadt at 617-577-8098 or jo@civettacom.com. Visitors to IBSS can pre-register by visiting www.bostonseafood.com.
