Johnson & Wales University Announces Honorary Doctorates
Six Campuses Will Hold May Commencement Ceremonies
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — April 13, 2006 — Johnson & Wales University will award 17 honorary doctorate degrees at its six campuses when it holds commencement ceremonies in May.
PROVIDENCE CAMPUS
The Alan Shawn Feinstein Graduate School at Johnson & Wales Ceremony
Thursday, May 18, 7:00 p.m., Providence Performing Arts Center
Keynote Speaker: Raymond Bickson, managing director, Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces, Mumbai, India, will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management degree.
Dr. Richard Freeland, president, Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.

Saturday, May 20, 9:00 a.m., Dunkin' Donuts Center
Keynote Speaker: Jon L. Luther, chief executive officer, Dunkin' Brands, Canton, Mass., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.
Darryl "Chip" Wade, senior vice president & chief operating officer, Legal Sea Foods, Inc., Boston, Mass., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Foodservice Management degree. Wade graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 1983.
College of Culinary Arts Ceremony
Saturday, May 20, 3:00 p.m., Dunkin' Donuts Center
Keynote Speaker: Glenn Davenport, president & chief executive officer, Morrison Management Specialist, Atlanta, Ga., will receive an honorary Doctor of Culinary Arts degree.
Tom B. Klein, chairman and chief executive officer, Rodney Strong Vineyards, Healdsburg, Calif., will receive an honorary Doctor of Oenology degree.
DENVER CAMPUS

Keynote Speaker: Scott Bemis, publisher. Denver Business Journal, Denver, Colo., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.
Daniel Scannell, CMC, executive chef, Cherry Hills Country Club, Englewood, Colo., will receive an honorary Doctor of Culinary Arts degree. Scannell is a 1998 graduate of Johnson & Wales University.

Keynote Speaker: David DeFratus, retired, district manager - Campus Services, ARAMARK, Philadelphia, Pa., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Foodservice Management degree.

John Martin, president, The Capital Grille, Atlanta, Ga., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Foodservice Management degree. Martin is a 1986 graduate of Johnson & Wales University.

Keynote Speaker: Harve A. Mogul, president & chief executive officer, United Way of Miami-Dade County, Miami, Fla., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.
Tom Walsh, founder/chairman, Ocean Properties, Ltd., Delray Beach, Fla., will receive an honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management degree.
Marcus Samuelsson, executive chef, Aquavit and Townhouse Restaurant, New York, New York, will receive an honorary Doctor of Culinary Arts degree.
