Hancock Gourmet Lobster Company wins Small Business of the Year Award March 21, 2005, Cundy’s Harbor, Maine ----- The Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce has announced that Hancock Gourmet Lobster Company is the winner of the Small Business of the Year Award for 2005. Criteria for the award are 1) business growth and improvement; 2) good financial health; 3) quality customer service; 4) staying power; 5) overall excellence in the marketplace; 6) community contribution; 7) 25 or fewer employees; and 8) Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber member.

Cal started Hancock Gourmet Lobster Company in January 2001 and the Company and its products have enjoyed steady growth and recognition each year.
