Burlingame, CA: Well known for high end couverture chocolate for cooking, E. Guittard, the Guittard Chocolate Company’s artisan line, has just released a brand new collection of chocolate bars – for eating! The suite of five two-ounce bars includes a 38% Cacao Milk Chocolate, a 61% Cacao Semisweet Chocolate, and three 65% Cacao single origin varietal chocolates from around the world.
Chocolate connoisseurs have looked to top chocolate houses in Europe for bean-to-bar varietal chocolates in recent years. Now world class single origin varietal chocolates are being made in the United States -- by the oldest family-owned chocolate company in America. E. Guittard’s three rare single origin chocolates, along with an intense and smooth Milk Chocolate, and a classic Semisweet Chocolate, comprise one of the most distinguished and delicious chocolate collections available anywhere.
Descriptions of the five new two-ounce E. Guittard chocolate bars:
38% Cacao Milk Chocolate – Bold, rich milk chocolate flavors with caramel accents, fresh dairy notes and a signature hint of cinnamon
61% Cacao Semisweet Chocolate – Fragrant, bright, super-rich chocolate flavors last and last, with a refreshing chocolate finish
65% Cacao Single Origin Varietal Chocolates:
Ambanja from Madagascar - Made primarily from rare criollo beans; tart essences mingle with deep, rich chocolate flavor.
Chucuri from Colombia – Made from trinitario cacao beans; long, deep, slow chocolate flavors are accented by pleasant hints of spice.
Sur del Lago from Venezuela – Made from prized cacao beans with criollo and trinitario heritage; complex chocolate flavors underlie subtle hints of red berry fruit.
