ENODIS ACQUIRES FRAU COMPANIES
Enodis plc, a leading provider of solutions to the food and beverage equipment industry, announces the acquisition of 100 percent of the Frau group of companies (“Frau”), based in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. The Frau Group consists of a distribution business concentrating on ice machines and combi-ovens, together with a service and installation business that trades under the name of Teuros.
The acquisition enhances Enodis’ leadership in supporting chain restaurants globally in growing markets. And it significantly expands Enodis’ distribution and service capabilities in the Spanish market for existing Scotsman Ice products, the new Convotherm +3 combi-oven and other Enodis products, including the company’s wide range of Accelerated Cooking Technologies and beverage systems.
Commenting on the acquisition, Dave McCulloch, CEO of Enodis said:
“This acquisition will give us critical mass in the important Spanish market, not only within the product areas currently focused on by Frau but also with a number of our other products.
