Restaurant owners who wonder how they're doing in their customers' eyes can quickly and
easily find out by checking to see if they've been rated on SavvyDining.com, a relatively new
worldwide dining guide with a unique no-frills, back-to-basics rating system.
Since early 2004, savvy travelers and diners around the world have posted their opinions on
over 40,000 restaurants in more than 130 countries, based on six criteria: food, service,
atmosphere, cleanliness, hospitality (customer-friendliness) and value (bang for the buck),
each of which they grade with an A, B, C, D or F. These six grades give visitors to the site a
concise and yet comprehensive snapshot of what they can expect at each rated restaurant.
"Not only do travelers use the site to help them decide which restaurants to try and which to
avoid," according to the senior editor of the site, "but the ratings, whether they're positive or
negative, can also be used by savvy restaurateurs to fine-tune their operations for greater
customer satisfaction and retention. And as far as we can tell, this is the only global dining
guide that includes cleanliness as a separate criterion."
The restaurants and their ratings are organized geographically for quick navigation and
presented in a large font for easy legibility. The site is advertiser-supported to keep it free for
all users.
