Mendip Food and Drink Festival Goes Live

Mendip Food & Drink Festival
Goes LIVE!

Friday 13th August saw the web site for the very first Mendip Food & Drink Festival go live.

The Festival which is being run from 17th – 24th October and encompasses the five towns of the Mendips and surrounding areas. The Festival oprganisers strap line is “ A vibrant celebration of food and drink in Mendip.

www.mendipfoodfestival.co.uk has been put together over the past few weeks as sponsors and participants have been signing up to take part. As new participants and sponsors sign up to support the Festival daily updates are made to the Web Site.

Many community groups, restaurants, hotels, farms, bed & breakfasts, shops and food producers have already signed up.

Andrew Wright from FAB! the event co-ordinators commented today: “ We are delighted at the response from companies small and large who have shown an interest in participating in the week long festival. Christina Ballinger from Somerset Food Links, the Festival Chairperson commented today: “we are really pleased with the web site and would urge people to have a look and see the kind of events that are being planned. Any business that has anything to do with food we hope will join in. We are pleased with the response that we have had from sponsors and hope that there are still more companies who will make contact with regard to support and sponsorship.”
