Gould Receives Student Culinarian of the Year Award
ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA., August 1, 2005--Christopher Gould, an apprentice at The Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, was named American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF) 2005 Student Culinarian of the Year at the ACF National Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
The ACF Student Culinarian of the Year Award, sponsored by Custom Culinary, recognizes up-and-coming students who demonstrate a high level of professionalism, culinary skills and a passion for the culinary arts. Gould was among four regional candidates who competed in a cook-off to determine this year’s winner.
Gould is a member of the ACF Chapter of Northern New Hampshire. In 2004, he received the Johnson & Wales Grand Professionalism Award. Gould also earned a gold medal at the 2004 New Hampshire State Junior Hot-Food Team Competition and a silver medal at the 2004 Northeast Regional Junior Hot-Food Team Competition.
