Culinary Gold Medalist Named 2005 Chef of the Year
ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA., August 1, 2005-- Richard Rosendale, chef de cuisine of Tavern Restaurant at The Greenbrier in White Sulpher Springs, W.Va., received the American Culinary Federation Inc. (ACF) Chef of the Year Award at the ACF National Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
The ACF annual Chef of the Year competition and award are sponsored by Unilever Foodsolutions, Lisle Ill., and recognizes an outstanding culinarian who works and cooks in a full-service dinning facility. This person demonstrates the highest standard of culinary skills, advances the cuisine of America and gives back to the profession through the development of students and apprentices.
Rosendale, an ACF certified culinarian (CC), has amassed 25 national and international medals and was a member of the ACF Culinary Team USA 2004, which took a gold medal in hot food at the 21st International Culinary Exhibition in Erfurt, Germany. Rosendale has been featured on television’s Food Network and in major industry publications. Additionally, he is a member of the National Ice Carving Association and currently in training for the Certified Master Chef™ exam.
