ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL WINE SUMMIT SCHEDULES WINE TASTING (7/15/04)
ATLANTA--The Southıs most outstanding wine tasting, The Gold Medal Wine
Tasting of the Atlanta International Wine Summit, offers guests the chance
to sip, sample and savor over 130 mouth-watering vintages that all won top
awards in the organizationıs recently-completed 2004 competition.
Pannels of expert wine judges in July compared and rated over 1,000
varietal and blended wines as well as hundreds of Champagnes, sparkling
wines, dessert and fruit wines, Sherries, Ports and even more speciality
wines. The 22-year-old Atlanta International Wine Summit is the southıs
oldest, largest and most-respected all vintage wine competition.
³For individuals who just enjoy wines or for more discerning wine
connoisseurs, our Gold Medal Tasting offers the most diverse range of
outstanding vintages anyone can find at one time, anywhere,² said Wine
Summit President E. Patricia Driscoll.
The Gold Medal Tasting goes from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Thursday,
September 16, 2004, in Roswell Founders Hall, 1076 Canton Street, Roswell,
GA 30076. Admission $30.00 per person in advance or $35.00 at the door.

In addition to sampling fine vintages, guests walk from table to table,
listing to classical music, snacking on hot and cold hors dıoeurves and
other foods--fresh fruits, breads, imported and domestic cheeses--often
rubbing shoulders with wine-makers who produced the award-winning wines,
Driscoll added.
Founders Hall is a restored 1872-era home and private events facility in
the downtown Historic District of Roswell within walking distance of gourmet
