BELLASERA HOTEL HOSTS
SECOND ANNUAL WHITE TRUFFLE EVENT
Courses Accredited by the Italian Institute for Advanced Culinary and Pastry Arts
Naples, FLA (April 4, 2005) - Italy’s culinary crown jewel, the rare white truffle, is being featured at the annual white truffle event, held at Bellasera in Naples, Florida. From November 10-15, 2005, the White Truffle Event, A Divine Indulgence & More, will feature a host of Italian regional cuisines and delicacies. The exotic truffles will be specially flown in from Italy for the occasion.
The White Truffle Event will be presented by three master chefs from Italy alongside the Bellasera Culinary Team. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about, and taste, more than 100 delicacies from every region of Italy. The renowned chefs will share their insight and skills for creating Mediterranean cuisine offering participants not only the tools to create but also an appreciation for regional Italian cuisine.
To further enhance the event, Joseph Ward, the wine editor from Conde Nast magazine, will serve as the keynote speaker addressing the world of fine wines. He will share his expertise with pairing food and wine and the truths and myths that come with it.
"The white truffle famously comes from the Piedmont region in northwest Italy, home to some of the world's finest red wines. The wines of this region are a beautiful match with dishes prepared with white truffles," says Chef Nocita.
The white truffle has been the treat of royalty since the time of ancient Greeks and Romans. Now, everyday food and wine lovers can experience a bit of this culinary royalty. “While once reserved exclusively for culinary professionals, these are the only one-day courses in North America accredited by the Italian Institute for Advanced Culinary and Pastry Arts and instructed by master chefs from the Institute’s Culinary Team,” explains John Nocita, Executive Chef, Sommelier, Maestro Olearo and Founder of the Italian Institute “Considering the caliber of these classes, we encourage attendees to stay for the entirety as each day will have unique offerings and insights into the culinary world.”
Additions to the 2005 event include, a charity dinner & silent auction, plus the last night of the event November 15th, a private dinner will be presented for the members of la Chaîne Des Rôtisseurs.
All programs are presented in the beautiful Bellasera Hotel in Naples, Florida and includes lunch, course materials, a certificate, special dinner menus with wine pairings, and the best hospitality available.
