Working in L.A Chef Robo. had to peel upwards of a tray of kiwis per day for a dessert. Normal style peeling was too hard and too slow so he modified a spoon which made the job a breeze.
Back home he played with the design a bit more, the inkling of an idea in the back of his mind.
A trip to a model maker paid off and a design for a tool evolved. Wasn't long before an order for 100,000 from the local kiwi market came and kiwipeel was up and running.
Up til now the peeler has been sold only in New Zealand, but soon Kiwipeel will be selling to professional chefs world wide.
