Decompression Session

Are you feeling a bit stressed? Have you reached that point where your about to start randomly stabbing your co-workers and or employees in the neck? Well, it just might be time to relax. It’s no secret that the restaurant business can be hectic and tension filled. So you should make sure when doing your personal mise en place, to include a little time to decompress.

Myself, Im a spa girl. I’m not a big clothes shopper and I could care less about jewelry, but slap some mud in my face and you will see my eyes light up( and not with rage!). A massage can help you relax, as well as help with back, neck and feet aches. If you are in the mood to spoil your employees and/ or trying to nip a mutiny in the bud, massage certificates make great gifts. And great gifts make happy employees and happy employees make great food. Ect.., Etc...

Now, I know what the gentleman are thinking, and no, getting an occasional massage to relieve work tension will not automatically make you a metrosexual. Now, if you stop on your way home for a mani-and Pedi, your pushing the line. If you’re looking for a more rugged way to blow off some work stress, just make a stop at your local gym on your way home once or twice a week. Most gyms can offer you a full range of equipments, as well as a pool and sauna in some cases.

So, if your after work hours are spent trying to control facial ticks and the inevitable flash backs of the evening rush, you just might want to go ahead and take a breather before that little vein above your eyebrow finally explodes. Making time to decompress will, in the end, make you easier to work with and a happier chef all around.
