Chef Jacques Haeringer Brings “Lewd Food” to the Award-Winning

Food & Wine Radio Network

Four-Star Chef from Washington DC’s L’Auberge Chez François Talks Romance and Food the First Date Night of Each Month

Los Angeles, CA- - Jacques Haeringer, award-winning chef, cookbook author, television show host and culinary teacher brings his scintillating perspective on food and romance to radio in a new segment, “Lewd Food,” to air monthly on the nationally-syndicated Food & Wine Radio Network. Chef Jacques and host, Jennifer English, will chat about food, sex, romance and whatever else is “allowed” on live radio.

“Food as Foreplay is how I describe this delicious mix of culinary delights and late night naughtiness,” says Jennifer English. “Chef Jacques has a great sense of humor and fun and believes that food and cooking should be enjoyable.”

The “Lewd Food” segment will air the first Friday “date night” of each month and will touch on different topics each show. “Lewd Food with Chef Jacques Haeringer” will debut on Friday evening, October 1, 2004, from 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. PST.

Jacques Haeringer has been sharing his humorous sense of food and romance for years through his best-selling cookbook, Two for Tonight, a wonderful collection of recipes and meals for two, as well as with viewers of his PBS television show of the same name. As Chef de Cuisine at his family’s legendary Washington DC restaurant, L’Auberge Chez François, Jacques has made romance part of the menu. Restaurant regulars keep coming back and the restaurant has been voted DC’s most romantic for 17 years.

In addition to his regular schedule of sold-out cooking demonstrations, Jacques Haeringer is also the author of The Chez Francois Cookbook, an authentic collection of his family’s most famous Alsatian recipes. Chef Jacques has shared his cooking secrets in the pages of such magazines as Cooking Light, Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living, Cosmopolitan, and Wine and Spirit. He has appeared on CNN, Fox News and NBC’s Today Show.

Jennifer English is one of America’s most exciting and articulate culinary personalities. She is an award winning talk show host, national tastemaker, entrepreneurial success story, and a broadcast pioneer. With the launch of The Food & Wine Radio Network in December 1999, English and her company Brandnewmedia, LLC began a new chapter in broadcasting by becoming the first national talk radio network dedicated exclusively to the delicious, entertaining and dynamic world of food, wine and the good life. Joining Jennifer to give voice to our shared passion are the world’s most interesting and influential tastemakers including: Julia (the one and only), Jacques (both of them) Chuck Williams, Anne Willan, Thomas Keller, Sara Moulton, Alfred Portale, Charlie Trotter, Rocco, Nobu, and the great Ducasse.

The Food & Wine Radio Network is heard by a passionate growing audience in over 65 United States cities and around the globe on the Internet from 9:00 p.m. to Midnight PST. The Food & Wine Radio Network Show is the 2002 James Beard Foundation/Viking Range Best Radio Show About Food nominee, the only commercial network talk radio program so honored. In May of 2001, The Foundation of American Women in Radio & Television awarded The Food & Wine Radio Network’s “The Holiday Gourmet” show with the prestigious Gracie Allen Award. The James Beard Foundation Awards named the network’s flagship show, The Food & Wine Radio Network Show as “Best Radio Show.”
