The 2009 Chef David Gilbert internship will take place at Chef Gilbert's new restaurant in Dallas, TX. The new restaurant (as yet to be named) is currently under construction and will serve a Progressive New American menu. The much anticipated grand opening is scheduled for January 2009. The application deadline is October 31st.

Chef Gilbert is looking for a culinary student or recent culinary school graduate with passion, personality, and a relentless drive for perfection. The ideal candidate should be articulate, creative, organized, and have hobbies other than cooking.

The intern will be paid based on experience (please note that entry level positions in fine dining do not pay much, but the experience itself will be invaluable). The intern will be required to provide for their own housing and relocation costs if necessary.
