JANEEN A. SARLIN

Janeen A. Sarlin, author of seven cookbooks, weekly columnist for the Southampton Press in Southampton, NY and The Hamptons Magazine, was born and raised on a dairy farm in Southern Minnesota. Janeen's love for French cuisine started in the 60's when she cooked her way through both volumes of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, by Julia Child and Simone Beck. She's been teaching techniques and holding cooking classes ever since. In 1975, Janeen founded Cooking with Class, Inc., a cooking school and catering business, and has developed a unique and specialized list of catering clients.

In her last cookbook, 50 Ways to Feed Your Lover (William Morrow, 2000), Janeen gathered love stories and recipes from fifty of America's top chefs. She has appeared on both local and national radio and television, including "The Today Show," and has produced her own public radio show, "The Seasonal Chef."
