Professional Baker Diploma

This program is a quick, straight-line approach to an entry-level position in the baking profession. It is designed to give the student a working knowledge of the procedures, ingredients, and "do's" and "don'ts" inherent in successfully functioning in a variety of baking environments including in-store and independent retail bakeries as well as large commercial and domestic establishments.

Professional Cook

The Professional Cook is the mainstay of all commercial food preparation. Professional cooks deal literally "hands-on" with food, its storage and cleanliness, as well as its preparation and presentation utilizing a variety of styles and techniques. The Professional Cook program differs from the associate degree program specifically because it does not emphasize the general studies courses necessary for the degree. This program is also available in the evenings and on weekends.

About Us

Students have used a variety of terms to describe their instructors at Sullivan's NCHS. Coaches … mentors … even friends. For example, in culinary arts, world-renowned gold medal chefs certified by the American Culinary Federation will share with you the secrets to success. And with our small classes, you'll be able to get the individual attention you need. Our Programs include:

  • 5 bake shops, a bakery, a cafeteria and a catering service.
  • Over 40 classrooms; 7 computer laboratories, 13 Food Production Kitchens.
  • A demonstration laboratory, a gourmet dining room and a garden.
  • Student Lounge and Library.
  • Apartment-style housing.
  • 3-month practicum at L'Ecole, a fine dining restaurant open to the public.
